The inner world does not follow the same rules as the physical world. Simultaneous movements in different dimensions at once are an integral part of its multidimensional nature.
We are accustomed to our bodies moving in a single direction at a single speed within a single space-time continuum. The physical dimension is limited in time and space, while the world of being seems to possess no limits whatsoever.

It is not always easy to reconcile these two realities, and psychological mechanisms such as cognitive dissonance are attempts to reproduce physical functions on non-physical levels, which are therefore subject to different laws.

Understanding that we are constantly grappling with sometimes opposing movements in multiple dimensions may help us, gradually, little by little, to abandon this idea that it is possible for us to control everything.
